The Alphies 2026 Award Categories
Lifetime achievement award
Awarded to the graduating individual who, through years of self-giving and Christ-like service, has left such a lasting impact on the identity and direction of IU Chi Alpha that their absence will be felt ministry-wide. The recipient for this award is selected by a panel of Chi Alpha directors.
best variety show performance
Awarded to the group or individual whose participation in the 2025 Fall Breakaway Variety Show set the world on fire and left the biggest impact on us all.
drippiest core group
Awarded to the Core Group whose efforts to show up and show out have never gone unnoticed and whose style is so in sync that they steal the air from the room.
biggest glow up
Awarded to the upperclassman who won at looksmaxxing, farmed all the aura, and ended up in a very different place than where he or she began as a first-year student.
F.A.T. Award
Awarded to the individual who has most exemplified the upstanding characteristics of Faithfulness, Availability, and Teachability during their time in Chi Alpha. The recipient for this award is selected by a panel of Chi Alpha directors.
Biggest back
Awarded to the individual who most demonstrates a readiness to listen to the troubles of others, a patience to help others walk through dark times, a gentleness in demeanor that creates safe spaces, and a dedication to living out the compassion Jesus has for us all. (Note: this award is completely unrelated to eating.)
Best buddies
Awarded to the two individuals whose friendship is a paragon of relationships, filled with kindness, connection, and fun.
best class
Awarded to the class (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Grad Student) who has been the cornerstone and the heart of Chi Alpha this year—the class most upstanding, honorable, and Christ-centered.
NPC Award
Awarded to the individual who could most convince us all that their body is simply controlled by the machine.
best parody film
Awarded to the group whose Parody Film submission best meets the requirements and wins the hearts (and the laughs) of the audience.
Nattiest of national champs
Awarded to the individual who best exemplifies the spirit of victory shared by the Indiana University Football team who won the National Championship in 2026.
last chance
Awarded to one graduating man and one graduating woman who deserve to be given one last chance at love.
